hello

Coronavirus blues

Hi. By now I was hoping to have Chilli Culture up and running and delivering Mexican food to as many Customers as possible. By about the middle of February I was ready to launch, but I thought I would just wait a week or 2 to see how this virus would turn out. Life/Mother Nature had other ideas and with bewildering speed the World tilted onto a different and alien path. I have a High Risk Wife who is in complete denial, one of the nose supports on my glasses has broken and I dare not risk sending them away for a week to get fixed, my elder son is a very fussy eater and my family have challenged me to grow a beard. I look like Catweazle. In the weeks to follow, I will look like Catweazle standing out in a storm and dragged through a hedge backwards.

My thoughts are with the medical teams around the World who have to face this virus head on. Also the other support staff across all sectors such as Teachers, Delivery drivers and all other essential workers delivering critical services.

From now I will start blogging about my attempts to feed my Family from the store cupboard and the progress of my beard. My challenge is nominally to feed my family but actually to keep them alive, a task which has fallen to every Parent on Earth. Primarily of course this will involve staying in as much as possible and washing my red raw hands again and again.
